I have some great news for fans of the Food & Wine Festival at Disney’s Epcot! If you didn’t get to make it this year OR are just REALLY sad that it’s over for the year because you had a ton of fun there you have nothing to worry about. Walt Disney World will be hosting an all new special event at Epcot. “Holidays Around the World” will begin November 28th and last until December 30th! The event will be showcasing international treats at the pavilions around The World Showcase. I attended the Food & Wine Festival on it’s last night and I must say, it was pretty sad to see it go. The festival was such a blast I went multiple times so it’s easy for me to see why Walt Disney World would want to expand on this idea. Global Resort Homes is here to make your Orlando vacation the best it can be. Orlando during the holidays is just a good time. Visit out website today and see what properties we have available for your vacation. Book today!

  1. Overall RatingFoodServiceAtmospherePrice/ValueRomanceSuitable for ChildrenWe went to the Garden Grill for the first time this last trip (September 2011). I’ll start with the theming. The rresautant revolves slowly, changing your scenery, which includes some portions of the Living with the Land ride. Our boys (5 and 3) were quite intrigued by this. The food was delicious. We turkey, beef, and fish with various sides and relishes. For our boys, our server brought oven-roasted drumsticks with macaroni and cheese, broccoli, and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fish and the kids’ sweet potato fries.Since we were celebrating my oldest son’s 6th birthday and our 12th anniversary, our server brought out some special desserts. My son had a candle in his cookies and cream mousse, and DH and I had a slice of chocolate cake with a candle in it. Of course, we also received the fruit cobbler that was on the menu, which is what I ate the most of (delicious!) since the chocolate cake was just your every day cake, but it was nice that they acknowledged our special day.As for the character interaction, we saw each character (Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto) several times. Dale, seeing my Happy Anniversary button, insisted that DH and I share a kiss. Mickey gave my youngest a high five every time he passed. I have to say that this is one of the best character meals on property when you look at food, atmosphere, service, and character interaction combined.
