August 31st, 2017 kicked off the first day of the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. This special event runs through November 13th and will serve up food like never before. With live music, new cocktails and international food, you are sure to have an incredible time. 35 food booths will have you trying food from all corners of the world.
If you’re looking to try seafood from “down under” then look no further than the Australian booth. With sweet grilled shrimp or grilled lamb, you are sure to find something tasty. Back up in the northern hemisphere, you can try Boeuf Bourguignon, Purée de Pommes de Terre: Cabernet Sauvignon Braised Beef with Mashed Potatoes. This treat from France will leave you speechless.
A few new booths are also expected to make an appearance this year. We’re especially looking forward to “Coastal Eats.” Try a Lump Crab Cake with Napa Cabbage Slaw and Avocado Lemongrass Cream or Baked Shrimp Scampi Dip with a Sourdough Baguette and feel right at home in Cape Cod. “Flavors from Fire” is also going to be popular, featuring many spicy dishes. Try Piggy Wings: Roasted Pork Wings with Korean BBQ Sauce and Sesame Seeds or a Sweet Pancake with Spicy Chipotle Chicken Sausage, Onion Jam and Maple Butter Syrup. The fiery concoctions are sure to get your taste buds roaring.
