Besides the obvious roller coasters, shows, and entertainment, the Orlando theme parks are also known for their world-class restaurants. From Universal to Disney, you can find anything you’re craving at a moment’s notice. Recently, both Disney and Universal announced some special new restaurants and cafes that you have to try on your summer vacation!

The Today Cafe

Never been to New York City but you’ve always wanted to go? Eating here will make you feel as though you’re in the center of the famous Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan. Complete with stage lighting, stage design, and orange decor, you’ll feel as if Hoda is right at your own cafe table.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

As a part of the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, this new restaurant is sure to keep you fueled up so you can keep exploring all day. Opening late August, this quick-service restaurant will be themed like a classic Docking Bay from Star Wars. Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs has developed dishes that are reminiscent of the galaxy itself. Using unusual flavors, he’ll transport your taste buds to a new dimension, leaving you with a new experience and a new memory.

Takumi-Tei Restaurant

  1. If you’re feeling hungry for new cuisine: Although each park has its signatures, there is no better way to fill up than at Epcot! Epcot has star dishes in each country highlighting the seasonal food and favorites that all their guests enjoy. Now is a great time to experience the magic at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Running through June 3rd, you can experience incredible Spring flowers along with new small plates! Epcot is the perfect place to enjoy the weather, friends and food.

  2. If you’re feeling adventurous: Get ready to feel like you’re on a wild vacation at Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom provides you with sights of far far away lands that are sometimes only dreamt about. Hop on a safari and see lions, tigers and giraffes on Kilimanjaro’s Safari. You can even fly away to the land of the Na’vi at the new Avatar Land, and ride with the Mountain Banshees. These incredible adventures will keep your heart racing and your blood flowing. Get ready for a day to remember!

  3. You’re feeling nostalgic: If we know anything, we know that Disney brings a sense of childhood to everyone that walks through the magical gates. Now is a great time to visit Hollywood Studios where you can experience the childhood favorites of Toy Story in person! Cake Boss Now Open in Orlando Florida at the Florida Mall

Buddy Valastro aka TLC’s Cake Boss, welcomed his fans at his brand new Carlo’s Bakery located in The Florida Mall. The Florida mall location is the 12th location for the Jersey-based chain. The 2,300-square-foot bakery is part of the mall’s new Dining Pavilion.

“I started working at Carlo’s Bakery when I was 11 years old, and I will tell you, on my first day, the last thought I had was that I’d be introducing a 12th location in Orlando, Fla., someday,” said Valastro in a prepared statement. “You know, my family and I love Orlando; there’s so much to do here with all the attractions, and the locals are always so welcoming. I’m so excited to give the city the opportunity to have access to our treats and cakes at The Florida Mall, Central Florida’s largest shopping center.”

More than 2,500 people were lined up on Grand Opening Day. It’s great to see that the celebrity baker can help draw even more tourists to one of Central Florida’s busiest shopping destinations — quite a recipe for success that will contribute to Orlando’s $60 billion tourism industry.
