Celebrate Your Holiday in Celebration Town Center!

If you want to celebrate Thanksgiving like a local, look no further! Celebration is the perfect place to get in the holiday spirit with festivities going on everyday. Here are a few of our favorite things to do while we’re there.

  • Play in the “Snow-ap”: Every evening, starting November 24th, Celebration begins to turn itself into a picturesque New England town with snow dawning the streets and trees. With a vintage throwback, you’ll experience the holiday’s like never before. Be sure you are there for the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony too which will take place on November 24th! Particularly popular with the little ones, this will have them entertained for hours as they enjoy the “snow” in gorgeous 75 degree weather.

  • Restaurants Galore: The little town center is outlined with restaurants at every corner. Mostly locally owned, these restaurants are perfect for a special evenings dinner. Our favorites include the Wine Bar or Aji. The Columbia is also a staple with their tasty 1905 salad!

  • Christmas Lights: After a night of celebrating the holidays, take a break and enjoy the Christmas lights in the cute little town. Take a drive down the streets and enjoy each house. There are a few special spots like “Candy Cane Lane” where local residents dawn their homes in the finest decorations.

After a night on the town, come back to your very own vacation home with Global Resort Homes. With your vacation home you can curl up, put on a holiday movie, and relax! Renting a vacation home for your holiday is the perfect way to spend time with family and friends while enjoying the luxuries of home. Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World Survival Guide

We all know that some of the best times at Disney are during the holidays. With special shows, events, and decorations, there is nothing that can compare. Although with everyone visiting, we do have a few tips so you can be sure to get the most out of your vacation!

  1. Stay with Global: Global has so many vacation homes right by all the theme parks so you and your whole family can stay together right under the same roof. Staying with Global means having your own space to relax after a long day at the parks too!

  2. Arrive Early: Many of the Disney parks fill up quick on the holidays so be sure to leave a few minutes early. Get to the front of the lines on your favorite rides so you can maximize your time. We recommend hitting your favorite rides first!

  3. Eat before the rush: Be sure to eat just before the breakfast, lunch and dinner rush. By doing this, you can get in line first at your favorite restaurants and then ride the rides while everyone else dines. By doing this, you’ll save time all around and get to take your time while you sip wine and eat yummy food.

  4. Plan your day: Sometimes the best days at Disney are the ones where you have a plan. Ride your “must” rides first and then wait for the others. Plan where you want to eat in advance that way you don’t have to spend precious time deciding. Lastly, use fastpasses to plan your day too. Fastpasses can cut down drastically on wait times.

  5. Have fun: The holidays at Disney can get crazy but just remember to have fun and enjoy the ride. The holiday spirit is all around at Disney and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to visit. Visit GlobalResortHomes.com and book your stay today!

A Disney Springs Update!

Everytime I go to Disney Springs I can’t believe the amount of new shops and restaurants that I see. Everything from new desserts to new activities, something is always popping up. Here are a few “must tries” and a few classics that you have to go to when visiting!

  1. Amorette’s Patisserie: One thing that always pops up on my radar when I head to Disney Springs is dessert. If I want a cupcake, I know to go to Sprinkles but if I want a new “iridescent treat” I know to go to Amorette’s. Creating Unicorn Macaron Lollipops and White Chocolate Mouse Ears, there is no better place to try something new. This Patisserie of course has other offerings, but these are just too cute to pass up!

  2. Wine Bar George: Joining the late night scene at Disney Springs, this new Wine Bar offers “late night sips” and plenty of snacks. With cocktails, cheese boards and so much more, everyone will have something to munch on. Over 130 wine selections will allow for the perfect pairing.

  3. Vivoli Il Gelato: Do not forget to top off your night at The Springs with mouth watering Gelato. Handcrafted and open until 12AM, this incredible little shop will be the perfect nightcap. With over 12 flavors at a time you’ll be able to taste anything from Cheesecake to Italian Coffee Cake. This is on the top of my list for recommendations!

  4. Homecomin’: The ultimate American style restaurant has opened recently and it will not disappoint. Fried chicken, fish sandwiches, BBQ and so much more is to be enjoyed here. A personal favorite has to be the Cheddar Cheese Drop Biscuits.

After all the grubbin’ you do at Disney Springs, be sure to come back and stay with Global Resort Homes. Offering full vacation homes featuring 2 bedrooms to 9 bedrooms, everyone will find their perfect place to stay. Book your stay today and call us at (888) 426-0472 or visit GlobalResortHomes.com.
