The Orlando Eye

The Orlando Eye

Well folks ‘The Orlando Eye’ is now officially open! This attraction is turning heads all over Orlando. Seriously! Maybe they shouldn’t have built this thing right by I-4. No, but seriously… this is just one more great attraction Orlando has to offer. This place just keeps getting bigger and better so start planning your Family’s Summer Vacation TODAY with Global. Our Creative Director, Arlene, recently visited ‘The Orlando Eye’ on the #firsttofly weekend and here is what she had to say about it!

Was it hard booking a reservation?

“I purchased our tickets online at OfficialOrlandoEye.com and I noticed it was $7 cheaper than purchasing at the location.”

What was the check-in experience like?

“We were asked to scan our tickets in two different locations and given a special pin for first time riders and it went very quickly. Then we posed for a few pictures in front of a green screen. Next we were asked to wait for the 4d cinema show to start. This was a short introduction to the Orlando Eye and what you will experience. Warning! This movie was very loud and had a few scary parts. The two year old in our party could not wait for it to be over.”

Favorite part of the interior of the capsule?

“The view. The ride took about 30 minutes to go all the way around and there is a small bench if you need to sit down. We had 12 people in our pod, including the kids and one attendant and it was very easy to walk around and take pictures.”

Would you recommend this attraction to Vacation Goers?

“This attraction was way more fun than we expected and I think all ages will enjoy it. I recommend going between 6 – 8pm. Just before sunset was perfect and getting to see the wheel light up at night was great.”

Would you visit ‘The Orlando Eye’ again?

“I will go again and next time I will check out Madame Tussaud’s and the Sea Life attraction right next door.”

Overall, what did you enjoy most about the attraction?

“The ride was the most fun. I also loved that they offered us a keepsake book with our green screen pictures. At $35 it was a great deal and we also received a coupon for $15 off tickets to the Sea Life attraction. The souvenir shop was also a big hit and my daughter fell in love with the a blueberry scented bear.”
