I am a Vacation Specialist for Global Resort Homes, and I work in the Reservation Department. I have worked for Global for 4 1/2 years. I enjoy my job and the freedom of working for an easy going company. I love the environment which I work in and the people I work with. Each morning, I wake up looking forward to coming to work and making a difference.
I do reservations for retail clients. This involves persuading new and potential clients to stay with Global vs. the competition. Sales is very complex and it takes a lot of positive energy. I have to be in a good mood everyday in order to keep the callers attention and materialize the call. Some leads are not as easy to close as others, so I do an intense amount of following up and emailing to make sure that I am not leaving any money on the table. In addition to sales, I assist guests with all of their needs from the time they book until they check-in. I answer general customer service calls, adjust files and problem solve when needed. I also send off personally written thank you letters to all of my clients, and advertise on Craig’s List to generate leads. My job involves many processes.
I love working for Global because of the people here. I am very close with all of my co-workers and they are a bunch of very compassionate people. If one person sees the other in pain, everyone is there to lend a helping hand. It is a very comfortable environment where everyone embraces you for who you are and appreciates your unique attributes!

Why I love Global…

I have been working at Global now for 8 months and I am a Vacation Home Specialist. My job entails helping guests find the perfect vacation home for their needs while staying in our area. I love working at Global because the management allows you to have the freedom of making your own decisions and recommendations. Working here is like being among friends and family members, yet everyone is still very professional and courteous. I really feel as if Global is an honest company with values and a high sense of professionalism, as well as high standards and expectations. I have really enjoyed my time here and I look forward to continue working with Global and it’s staff in the future.
